BASF increases price for Neopentylglycol in Europe

With immediate effect or as existing contracts permit BASF is further increasing the price for Neopentylglycol (NPG) in Europe by 200 Euro/ton (MT).

This price increase is in addition to the price increase for NPG communicated on November 10, 2020 by 150 Euro/ton (MT) in Europe.

NPG is a unique polyalcohol that has proven itself in many applications, especially in the production of polyester and alkyd resins for various coatings and plastics due to its high chemical and thermal stability. An essential field of application is powder coatings, which prove particularly successful in the construction industry as well as in the coating of household appliances.
