Personnel changes at BASF Corporate Communications & Government Relations
- Véronique De Waele to become Head of Corporate Government Relations
Véronique De Waele (54), currently Vice President, Head of Brussels Office BASF, will take over as Head of Corporate Government Relations from Christian Schubert, who is retiring, on December 1, 2025. De Waele will continue to head BASF's Brussels office and report to Nina Schwab-Hautzinger, who is responsible for BASF's Corporate Communications & Government Relations unit globally.
De Waele brings extensive experience in Government Relations and a wide network from her roles at BASF’s Brussels office, as well as a strong business mindset.
De Waele graduated with a degree in business administration and a masters in applied economic sciences in Belgium. She began her career at BASF in 1994 and held various managerial positions in marketing, business development, and finance in Belgium, Germany, and France in her first 13 years at the company. De Waele then moved to BASF’s Government Relations office in Brussels in 2007, where she started as Senior Manager for Trade and Economic Policy and took on the role of Head of Economic Policy & International Networks in 2011. She has been managing BASF's Brussels office since 2020.
