Change in leadership at BASF communications
- Nina Schwab-Hautzinger to leave BASF to pursue a new professional opportunity
Dr. Nina Schwab-Hautzinger, Head of Corporate Communications & Government Relations, will leave BASF effective January 31, 2026, to take on a new professional opportunity. The company will announce the successor in due course.
Dr. Markus Kamieth, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE, said: “During her five years at BASF, Nina Schwab-Hautzinger has successfully advanced and modernized our corporate communications. She has represented BASF’s values both internally and externally with impact, and together with her team has further strengthened the company’s reputation. She demonstrated strong leadership during the challenging period of the energy crisis. Communication was also a key success factor during the CEO transition and the launch of our corporate ‘Winning Ways’ strategy. I truly enjoyed working with her and regret that she will be leaving BASF. I wish her all the best for her next role.”
Nina Schwab-Hautzinger has led BASF’s Corporate Communications & Government Relations unit since 2020. Prior to that, she held various international leadership positions at healthcare company Roche in Switzerland and Germany, as well as at a strategic communications consultancy in Singapore. She studied at the universities of Mannheim and Waterloo, Canada, and earned her doctorate from the University of Zurich.
