Indianapolis, United States — May 13, 2026 — BASF’s Performance and Formulation Additives announced the launch of Efka^® PX 4720, a new high‑performance dispersing agent designed for ultra‑matte, solvent‑free UV coating formulations, at the American Coatings Show 2026, held from May 5 to 7.

Efka PX 4720 is developed using Controlled Free Radical Polymerization (CFRP) technology, enabling precisely defined acrylic block copolymers. This innovative structure delivers strong viscosity reduction, high matting efficiency, and excellent formulation stability, even at very high silica matting agent concentrations.

Designed for 100% solvent‑free radiation‑curing coating systems, Efka PX 4720 supports formulators in achieving ultra‑matte performance without compromising stability or processability. Typical applications include industrial coatings, furniture and flooring finishes, as well as 3C coatings.
