Chemetall receives Airbus SQIP award for the eleventh consecutive year

  • Chemetall awarded “Accredited Supplier” status in Airbus’ Supply Chain & Quality Improvement Program (SQIP)

  • Additional special award recognizes de-risking initiatives supporting supply security

The Surface Treatment global business unit of BASF Coatings, operating under the Chemetall brand, has once again received the highest recognition in Airbus’ Supply Chain & Quality Improvement Program (SQIP) and was awarded “Accredited Supplier” status for its performance

This marks the eleventh consecutive year that Chemetall has achieved this distinction. The status reflects sustained excellence in product quality, on-time delivery and the ability to manage increasing production volumes.

The award was presented at the Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France, where Airbus Procurement and Supply Chain & Quality Management (SCQM) teams recognized the sustained efforts and performance of Chemetall employees across Production, Laboratory, Quality, Supply Chain and Customer Service functions.

“Achieving Airbus SQIP accreditation for the eleventh consecutive year is a strong recognition of the consistent performance and commitment of our teams worldwide. Aerospace is a strategically important market for Chemetall, and being recognized by Airbus again carries particular weight given the demanding requirements in quality, delivery and reliability,” says Frank Naber, Senior Vice President Global Surface Treatment at BASF Coatings.

In addition to the SQIP accreditation, Chemetall received a special award recognizing its de-risking initiatives. “This recognition of our de-risking initiatives reflects our proactive approach to securing supply and supporting Airbus’ production needs,” says Guillaume Larrieu, Global Key Account Manager Airbus at Chemetall.

The Airbus SQIP program aims to drive industrial excellence among its strategic suppliers, with a focus on product quality and delivery reliability. Suppliers are evaluated on an annual basis, with their performance either confirmed or adjusted depending on compliance with Airbus’ stringent standards.
