High-Tech Gründerfonds

Founded in 2005 in Bonn, High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) is Germany's biggest and most active seed-investor for technology startups with close to EUR 900 million under management. BASF invested in all three funds that have been raised in 2005, 2011, and 2018 and actively participates in the investment committees. To date more than 500 startups have been funded in the areas of life sciences, healthcare, chemistry, hardware, automation, software, media and internet yielding over 100 exits to date. Accumulated follow-on investments into the portfolio reached close to EUR 2 billion to date.
