History of BASF Stiftung

Shortly after BASF was founded in 1865, voluntary social services were introduced for employees in order to reduce the hardships suffered by employees and their families. From the initial introduction of social funds and recreation homes, the services for employees were continuously expanded into what is known as BASF Stiftung today.
