BASF to commemorate Earth Day 2012 at Wyandotte’s Bishop Park
WYANDOTTE, MI, April 19, 2012 -- Commemorating Earth Day 2012 and its commitment to sustainability and the environment, BASF will host a tree planting ceremony at Bishop Park on Monday, April 23, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. Bishop Park is the main Wyandotte park and is on the Detroit riverfront located on Van Alstyne Street, between Chestnut Street and Vinewood Street.
During the ceremony, BASF management will plant four trees to commemorate Earth Day 2012. Wyandotte residents and visitors are invited to the Earth Day ceremony and tree planting.

Guests at the tree planting ceremony will be given packages of seeds to plant at home.
BASF’s Wyandotte site spans more than 2,100 acres and hosts multiple business groups, functions and manufacturing plants which produce a variety of urethane and specialty plastics products. The site employs about 1,150 full-time and contract employees.
