Polymers, binders and additives for roofing nonwovens

We offer emulsion polymers, including formaldehyde-free solutions, that bind wetlaid glass and/or polyester fiber mats to provide enhanced tear strength and impact resistance for nonwovens used in roofing applications such as asphalt shingles and built-up roofing.

    ACRODUR 950 L
    Formaldehyde-free solution polymer for thermoset applications that provides excellent heat resistance and stiffness. For use in insulation, abrasives, ceiling tiles, wall coverings, and specialty glass applications. Can be used as a crosslinker.

    ACRODUR DS 3558
    Formaldehyde-free styrene-acrylic dispersion that provides a tough elastic thermoset with good flexibility, excellent thermal resistance, and excellent hydrophobicity.

    ACRONAL 4888
    Self-crosslinking styrene acrylic binderwith acrylonitrile. Used to bring strength to polyester and glass nonwovens. Provides good adhesion to polyester and glass fibers and high heat resistance, allowing polyester nonwoven to be coated with hot asphalt. Outstanding thermal dimensional stability.
  4. 4
    ACRONAL NX 4846
    A heat-crosslinking styrene acrylic that provides excellent thermal dimensional stability and barrier coating properties. It is suitable for use as a UF modifier in glass nonwovens and cellulosic tape applications.

    STYRONAL ND 656
    Styrene butadiene binder that improves the cohesive strength of laminating adhesives. Suitable for use as a binder for nonwovens composed of polyester and glass fibers, facer coatings, and masking tape.
  6. 6
    STYRONAL ND 811
    A very stiff carboxylated styrene/butadiene dispersion used as a binder for nonwoven and coating applications. It is a mechanically and chemically stable modifier in laminating adhesive formulations. It provides stiffness and toughness
