CHINAPLAS 2026: BASF debuts Elastollan® GripTec outsole solution for enhanced grip, design freedom and sustainability

At CHINAPLAS 2026, BASF will unveil Elastollan^® GripTec, a new innovative thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) portfolio designed for the sports footwear industry, unlocking new possibilities for outsole design and manufacturing. The new Elastollan GripTec series combines exceptional grip, durability, design flexibility and sustainability, and is designed for running and hiking enthusiasts, as well as lifestyle fashion and kidswear applications.

BASF and partners complete ninth school project in Vietnam

BASF Vietnam, together with longstanding customers, partners, and other co-sponsors, presented a newly rebuilt classroom and playground, totaling almost 300 square meters, to Ba Chuc Kindergarten in Ba Chuc Commune, An Giang Province. This initiative benefits around 40 children aged 3 to 5. The program is facilitated by Saigon Children’s Charity CIO (saigonchildren).

CHINAPLAS 2026: BASF collaborates with Niber Technologies on high-performance electrospun innovation based on Freeflex^®TPU

At CHINAPLAS 2026, BASF will showcase an outdoor jacket produced in collaboration with Niber Technologies, Pte. Ltd. (Niber Technologies), a leading electrospinning specialist. The jacket incorporates the newly developed Freeflex^®E 130, a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) based electrospun nano membrane.

February 25, 2026 – With immediate effect, or as contract terms allow, BASF will increase prices for its Lupranate^® MDI (Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanate) basic products by $200 per metric ton in ASEAN countries.

February 04, 2026 – With immediate effect, or as contract terms allow, BASF will increase prices for its Lupranate^® TDI (Toluene Diisocyanate) by $200 per metric ton in Asia-Pacific (excluding Chinese mainland) and MEAF region.
