BASF recognized as one of the Top International Corporate Citizens of 2020 in Canada
- This annual ranking, performed by Corporate Knights, measures corporate sustainability performance relative to other industry players
- BASF’s sustainability efforts also earned the company an SDG award granted by the Global Compact Network Canada in 2019
Mississauga, ON, Canada, June 25, 2020 – BASF has been named by Corporate Knights, a media, research and financial information products company based in Toronto, as one of the Top International Corporate Citizens of 2020 in Canada.
This ranking lists companies setting the standard for sustainability leadership in Canada based on a set of indicators covering environmental, social, governance, employee, financial management, clean revenue and supplier performance relative to other industry players.
In addition, this year, the ranking considers how corporations have supported employees and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic: "The Best 50 Corporate Citizens have shown their mettle this year, providing needed relief for workers and communities during the pandemic and now stepping up to build back better post-COVID," said Toby Heaps, CEO of Corporate Knights.
