Electronics Concept Bag with Infinergy®

The closed-cell and elastic foam particles can be steam-moulded, are ideal for weight reduction and shock-absorption. valure™ is an innovative transfer coating technology that provides excellent touch-and-feel. Haptex® is a non solvent based synthetic leather which gives good comfort and breathability.
- The concept bag is lightweight and shock-absorbing due to Infinergy®, thus it can be used as the initial transport packaging for the electronic device. Instead of disposing the packaging material afterwards, it can be re-used as protection bag due to the dual-purpose design and appealing touch-and-feel created by valure™ and Haptex®.

MYTO, a cantilever chair, is made entirely of Ultradur® High Speed PBT (polybutylene terephthalate).It is the brainchild of an unprecedented collaboration between a designer, a furniture manufacturer and a plastic producer. A joint creation by KONSTANTIN GRCIC, acclaimed industrial designer and recipient of many international awards, by the Italian manufacturer PLANK and by BASF.
Vegetal chair
The Vegetal chair is an organically conceived chair in cooperation with designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec with Vitra, the renowned Swiss funiture manufacturer. It is made entirely of BASF's plastic Miramid® by means of a special injection molding technique. The central element of the Vegetal chair is a seat shell that looks like branches of different thicknesses woven together. This universal chair lends itself for indoor and outdoor use, which is why it has to be made of very sturdy plastic.

BASF experts assisted the manufacturer in the design of the office chair with their simulation tool Ultrasim™.
