BASF starts up supercomputer in Ludwigshafen

In March 2017 BASF and Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced that they will collaborate to develop one of the world’s largest supercomputers for industrial chemical research. Now BASF’s supercomputer, called “Quriosity” following an online naming contest among employees, has been put into operation and is running at full capacity. This marks an important step towards the digitalization of research.
