Short bio

Irene Yang joined BASF Venture Capital North America in February 2022 and is based in Toronto. Irene was previously BASF Canada’s Director of Business Development & Innovation, working alongside several business units on growth plans across industries and leading strategic partnerships. Joining BASF in 2013, Irene has also worked in BASF Asia Pacific and U.S.

Earlier, Irene held Director of Product Management and Strategic Partnership roles with AMD and was a consultant with McKinsey. Irene earned her MS Engineering (Electrical and Computer Science) and MBA degrees from MIT (USA), and B. Eng. & Management degree from McMaster University (Canada).
