Heike holds a PhD in chemistry and has been Managing Director of BASF Venture Capital since March 2026.
After completing her studies and PhD in 2002, Heike began her professional career in BASF’s laboratories. She spent more than five years in Research & Development for the Performance Chemicals and Care Chemicals divisions. She then moved to the Intermediates division, where she held various roles, including positions in New Business Development and Strategic Marketing. Starting in March 2012, Heike worked on developing new business areas for BASF. Her responsibilities included commercial and strategic topics as well as regulatory matters and communications. One of her main focus areas was stationary energy storage. She remained dedicated to this topic until transitioning to BASF Venture Capital, most recently serving as Director at BASF Stationary Energy Storage, where she was responsible for strategic marketing for stationary energy storage solutions.
Heike earned her PhD in inorganic chemistry in Karlsruhe. She is married and has one son. In her free time, she enjoys sports — especially skiing and tennis. She also finds relaxation in knitting.
