Josh is chemist by education and an expert for chemistry and materials science. He joined BASF Venture Capital as an Investment Manager in February 2022 and is based in Boston, USA.
The topic of innovation has accompanied him all his professional life. Josh began his career in polymer research at BASF in Wyandotte, MI, in 2013. He then moved to the California Research Alliance in Berkeley, CA, as an Innovation Manager in 2017. While there he launched collaborative research projects with academic partners, supported startup relationships, and participated in California’s innovation ecosystem.
Josh holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Minnesota.
In his free time, you will find him on adventures with his wife, son, and dog. He also plays ice hockey and eats any good food he can find.
