Since 2014 Lactips has pioneered protein-based natural materials. The company rethinks plastics by developing and manufacturing a material that is 100% bio-sourced, water-soluble, fully biodegradable in all environments, and can be processed like any plastic. Lactips has commercialized its technology in markets such as flexible film and paper packaging, labels, agriculture and outdoor sports. BASF Venture Capital invested in Lactips in 2018 and has accompanied its development ever since.
