Africa

For almost 90 years the BASF Group has been successfully active on the African continent and currently employs around 1,600 people there. The organization is divided into four regional country clusters, each strategically located: Midrand in South Africa covers Southern Africa, Nairobi in Kenya is responsible for East Africa, Lagos in Nigeria for West Africa, and Morocco for the North-West Africa region. Since 2016 BASF’s Africa headquarters has been based in Nairobi — an important step to strengthen the regional presence.
