Who we are

Access to the Schwarzheide site

There are numerous safety requirements at the Schwarzheide chemical site. Our employees, contractors and guests, as well as our facilities and assets, must be protected. Our plant security team are a competent team of security experts who take care of everything from issuing ID cards and processing authorisations to providing information on security-related issues.

Before your company can operate at the Schwarzheide site, a profile must be created once for the company in our Security System portal. To do this, fill out the form "Application for company facility".

As soon as the company profile has been created by the ID centre, you will receive a confirmation e-mail as the authorised agent.

Please note that the contact person stored in the system will receive a registration link by e-mail.

Note: processing can take 2 to 3 working days.

We create your company profile in the Portal Security System. In your role as authorised agent, you now have the task of uploading the self-declaration form to the portal. You can then apply for the contractual relationship.

Process description for uploading the self-declaration form and applying for a contractual relationship

Authorised agents can create and edit employees in the Security System portal. A distinction is made between employees with permanent ID cards and employees without them.

Please use the process description below as a step-by-step guide.

Please make sure to check in advance that the employee to be registered has a valid visa or work permit if they are not a member of the European Union.

A valid plant ID card must always be carried by persons accessing the BASF site in Schwarzheide. An authorised agent is authorised to apply for permanent ID cards for employees of their own company via the Security System portal.

As soon as approval has been granted by the ID centre, the authorised agent receives information by e-mail. Employees can collect their permanent ID card from the ID centre after booking an appointment in advance.

The following original documents must be submitted in order to obtain a permanent ID card:

  • Identity card or passport
  • Persons from non-EU countries (except Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein) must also present a residence permit or visa issued by a German authority and valid for Germany with the relevant endorsements or documents authorising gainful employment or permission to take up work.
  • Confirmation of booking
  • If you have an old permanent ID card, this must be presented, otherwise a fee of 10 euros will be charged in cash.
  • The security test is completed when the permanent ID card is collected or renewed.

You can find all the information you need in the partner portal.

The authorised agent receives an e-mail informing them that an employee's work assignment is coming to an end.

If an employee's employment relationship is to be extended, the authorised agent must submit an application for an extension of employment via the Security System portal. For further information, please refer to the process description for authorised agents for the management of employees.

Note: Processing can take two to three working days.

If an employee's work assignment on the plant premises ends earlier or if the employee has terminated the employment relationship, the authorised agent is obliged to deregister the employee via the Security System portal. Instructions can be found in the process description for authorised agents on managing employees.

The employee's permanent ID card is automatically deactivated and the IT authorisations assigned to them are withdrawn.

The permanent ID card must be returned to the ID centre. The employee receives confirmation that the ID card has been returned. Alternatively, the ID card can be returned by post to the following address:

ID centre of BASF Schwarzheide GmbH
Naundorfer Straße
01987 Schwarzheide

If you need access to BASF IT systems to fulfil your assignment, the employee is registered via the Security System portal. The applications go through an internal BASF approval process. IT authorisations can be requested via the BASF contact person one day after the application has been approved.

Note: Processing can take three to five working days.

If the employee's work assignment ends earlier or if the employee has terminated the employment relationship within the period of employment, the authorised agent is obliged to deregister the employee via the Security System portal. The employee's IT authorisations are automatically deactivated or withdrawn.
