Central Safety Instruction (BASI)

BASI (Basic Safety Instruction) optimizes the previous Central Safety Instruction at the site’s gate.

To work safely at the site Ludwigshafen, you must complete the Central Safety Instruction before entering the site premises. This instruction consists of a safety film and a subsequent safety test with three questions that must be answered correctly.

Who must complete the central safety instruction in BASI:

Employees of Contractors and their third parties
Employees of Renters and their third parties
Freelancers
Informants/Interns/Diploma students
Employees of Research Groups/Working Groups
Employees of Truck / Freight forwarding companies and their third parties
New: Service Technicians (“Spezialmonteure”)

The safety film contains the most important safety rules and framework requirements of BASF SE, which you must keep in mind and comply with on the site premises.
To ensure you have understood all the rules from the safety film, this will be checked by a safety test directly after the film. You need to confirm that you have personally completed the safety test.

Without passing the safety test, you will not be granted access to the site.

After passing the safety test, you need to register with your QR code at one of our ID card offices (North Building J 660 and South Building Z 22).

The QR code is intended for your personal use only, it is not allowed to be passed on to other people.

At the ID card office you will then receive your BASF permanent ID card.

The Central Safety Instruction is valid for one year and must be repeated after one year.
