Casino with library, reading room and smoking room. A hundred years later, the Gesellschaftshaus was lovingly renovated. It also received a Vinothek, to which we invite you for informative and delicious wine events. The traditional ballroom is designed after a hall in the Royal Palace in Brussels, and now provides a historical setting for individual events such as our Barrique Forum or the Chemical Dinner. You, too, can use this festive room if you are looking for an elegant venue for up to 180 guests. Experience premium cuisine from its most delightful side, prepared fresh from high-quality ingredients and accompanied by matching wines. Coming up with new ideas. Relaxing between chestnut trees and wild roses. Leaving the office behind. Enjoying delicious food. You want to do all this at the same time? Then our Rehhütte Country Estate is the right place for you. Already around a thousand years ago, farmers were growing crops at Gut Limburgerhof. In 1241 a watermill was built to grind the local crops into flour. BASF bought the country estate in 1899 and later converted it into a communications center with rustic meeting rooms. The manor house and the mill were acquired in 1997. Today, the mill is no longer in operation; the grindstone now welcomes you in the foyer. Today the Rehhütte Country Estate is a wonderful place to sow ideas, harvest knowledge, and bake up nutritious projects from these ingredients. Let the historic manor atmosphere inspire you. Of course, the Rehhuette Country Estate will also pamper you with gourmet meals, which we are happy to serve al fresco in our delightful manor garden when the weather is nice.
Feel right at home in the Carl Wurster Villa. With its fireplace room and conference rooms, it offers you a comfortable, private ambiance for your events. Right in the middle of Ludwigshafen – but surrounded by lots of greenery – you will find the necessary seclusion for stimulating fireplace discussions and inspiring seminars with a smaller group. The villa was built at the turn of the century and restored after having been destroyed in the war. Carl Wurster, BASF CEO from 1952 to 1965, lived here. As a chemical scientist with a variety of interests, he was a recipient of the German Cross of Merit, an honorary member of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, and an honorary citizen of the City of Ludwigshafen.
Nanjing, Singapur, Tokyo – the superior 4-star Hotel René Bohn would stand out among the competition anywhere in the world. It's eponym, René Bohn, was an excellent chemical scientist, who discovered the dyes anthracene blue and alizarin black back in the 1880ies. For the decor of the hotel, however, we decided to rather go with soft sandy and earthy tones. In the foyer, you are greeted and looked after by our attentive hotel team. Leave work behind, and relax in the club area with its inviting retro design. Or chill listening to trendy music, sipping on a cool summer wine, and savoring some tapas or specialties from the grill on our summer patio. Large or small, thick or thin – at night, you can choose again: from our pillow menu. With the perfect-for-you pillow, sweet dreams are guaranteed. The next morning, you will start your day with an abundant breakfast buffet in the glass pavilion. With selections ranging from sweet to savory, you will find everything your heart desires. Moreover, you can use our hotel as an event venue: Our six conference rooms can accommodate a total of 130 people. Gesellschaftshaus, Feierabendhaus and Carl Wurster Villa are only a few steps away. And our Gourmet Safari ends at Hotel René Bohn. You can book the Gourmet Safari, or many of our other culinary events, for that matter, together with an overnight stay at the hotel for an attractive package price, so that you can end the gourmet evening in a relaxed atmosphere, and start the next day in style with a copious breakfast and a glass of sparkling wine.
A small castle in the middle of the Palatinate: This is the study house of BASF. Here, BASF has seminar rooms for further education, holds conferences, product presentations etc. readily available for you.
44 single rooms with a shower/WC, TV, telephone and a PC already connected to the BASF network are available. Additionally, we are happy to book rooms in nearby hotels for you that are a 10-minute walk away. In the evening, you can comfortably read a book in the library or clear off all nines in our bowling alley. For special occasions we recommend our fireplace room!
From the young Riesling to the well matured Brunello, from sherry to champagne – you will find an exquisite product range with about 600 types and specialities from all over the world in our wine shop. Our cellars store about 2,000 types of wine. And not without reason: Already in 1901, the Badische Anilin- und Sodafabrik commissioned the wine cellar to procure wine for its employees. In the beginning, the wine was primarily from the Palatinate region and France. Meanwhile, we keep looking for the best wines from all over the world for you. Doing so, we are driven by the endeavor to offer you the best quality and selection. This way, an impressive wine cellar was created in the course of more than 100 years. The magazine "Der Feinschmecker" included it in its 2012 list of best addresses for wine in Germany. We know: The proof of the pudding is in the eating! Therefore we offer you the opportunities to come to know our wines - from tasting days to informative wine seminars.
