Overseas training and working in an environment that combines technical skills and personal interests
"I was looking for an opportunity where I could receive training overseas, and work in an environment where I could combine my technical knowledge with my commercial interests.  The CYP program met both of those goals.  The company sent me overseas for 18 months to work in a variety of areas before returning to Shanghai, where I now work in technical service."

A lot of hard work but so rewarding
"In 2014, I was involved in the launch of BASF Coatings' products to Beijing Benz Automotive Company (BBAC), which is a joint venture between Mercedes Daimler and Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Company (BAIC).  It was the first time I managed a project of this size.  It took a lot of hard work but it was so rewarding because I was able to prove to everyone – and especially to me – that I could do it.  I love that I get to work together with excellent and interesting people, and develop myself every day."

"This industry is moving so quickly and the opportunities are so great that there's little time to mull over things. I'm learning so much in such a short period of time that it amazes me."

Continuous learning
"I am always learning from my colleagues both on and off the job.  There are also plenty of opportunities for formal training.  I recently participated in the company's perspectives Key Concepts training program, which has helped me immensely in my interactions with both the sales team and our customers."
