BASF offers new solution to protect summer bentgrass in Japan
- The new versatile fungicide combines two powerful active ingredients that prevent major fungal diseases common in bentgrass
- Safe use during high temperatures – meaning turf can be kept healthy even in summer
Tokyo, Japan – March 12, 2018 – Superintendents and turf managers now have an even more powerful solution for maintaining high-quality turf, with the launch of Honor® WDG in Japan. This new broad spectrum fungicide contains two major active ingredients – pyraclostrobin and boscalid – which can effectively prevent and control the bentgrass diseases, such as anthracnose, Pythium disease and dollar spot. Honor WDG will be available for sale on April 3.
Beyond its broad spectrum of efficacy, the benefits of Honor WDG include quick absorption by plants, and excellent rainfastness and residual activity. Most importantly, it is safe for bentgrass and can be used even during summer high-temperature conditions.
Pyraclostrobin and boscalid, two active ingredients developed by BASF, are used for various plants and crops in many countries and regions. Pyraclostrobin-containing turf fungicides sold in the US market have been recommended by superintendents and turf managers since their debut, as an effective means to control turf diseases.
