Jens Liebermann appointed as new managing director of BASF Taiwan

BASF has appointed Jens Liebermann as Managing Director of BASF Taiwan, effective January 1, 2025.

In addition to his new responsibilities as Managing Director of BASF Taiwan, Jens will continue his current role as Vice President, Business Management Semiconductor Materials, Global Business Unit Electronic Materials, BASF.

Jens Liebermann began his journey with BASF in 2007 in the Coatings Division with a focus on automotive coatings solutions. Over the years, he has garnered extensive experience through various roles in marketing, sales, business management, and strategy. After that, he was responsible for business management of Metal Systems under BASF Global Business Unit Electronic Materials. Since 2020, Jens Liebermann has served as Vice President for the global semiconductor materials business of BASF with a focus on supplying ultra-pure single chemicals and advanced chemical formulations to the semiconductor industry. He also played a leading role in the strategy development and organizational restructure of BASF’s Electronic Materials business.

Jens Liebermann studied Business Management at the University of Muenster in Germany and at the University of Illinois in the United States. He lived and worked for many years in the US, Europe, and during past decade in Asia.
