BASF’s Wyandotte facility has earned a significant environmental recognition for its efforts to reduce and manage the loss of plastic resins from operations. The facility has achieved Operation Clean Sweep^® (OCS) Blue Verification, a globally recognized milestone for strengthening practices that help prevent plastic resin loss.
 

BASF’s Wyandotte, Michigan site recently hosted 21 students for TECH Academy 2025. The week-long summer program is designed for high school juniors and seniors in the Metro Detroit area who are interested in pursuing skilled trade careers.

BASF’s Site Director in Wyandotte, Michigan, Michele Barney, has been honored with a 2025 Women MAKE Award. Barney is one of 130 women recognized by the Manufacturing Institute (MI), the workforce development and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). The national Women MAKE Awards honor manufacturing leaders who have made significant contributions to their companies and communities, and who support efforts to encourage the next generation of female talent to pursue modern manufacturing careers.
 

BASF is inviting Ph.D. students and academic postdoctoral researchers to apply for the BASF North American Research Forum. The Forum offers a unique opportunity for young scientists to gain insight into industry and apply their chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, biosciences, material science or polymer science postgraduate academic experience in research and development, technology, marketing and/or production.
