BASF East Africa Ltd, the regional sales hub for the East African market, was established in Kenya in 2011 and is responsible for 15 countries. Our portfolio is organized into six segments: Chemicals, Materials, Industrial Solutions, Surface Technologies, Nutrition & Care and Agricultural Solutions. In Ethiopia, BASF has a Trade Representative Office responsible for the various BASF industry segments. Continuous innovation and tailor-made solutions ensure our customers achieve greater success.

Many motorists in East Africa face the challenge of engine damage as a result of vehicle overheating. Overheating can be traced back to the use of low quality or fake coolants. BASF has partnered oil marketing companies in the region to sensitize motorists on the dangers of using coolants of dubious quality.
