Internship: You first complete an internship with us and use the time to make important contacts and have the opportunity to be taken on as a working student afterwards.

Job search: You search our job search for current vacancies for working student positions and apply directly to an advertisement.

To become a working student at BASF, you must be enrolled at a college or university for the entire duration of your employment. In addition, you will impress us with your academic performance and have strong technical and foreign language skills. You are open-minded towards other cultures and disciplines. Have you already gained practical experience and are you involved in activities outside the university? Even better.

Since our work is absolutely team-oriented, you should also have above-average communication and teamwork skills. If you also show initiative and enjoy taking on responsibility, then you've come to the right place.

Whether you are a natural scientist, engineer, economist or humanities graduate - BASF has something to offer everyone. 

If you are studying chemistry, physics, biology, agricultural sciences or another natural science subject, you can get a head start in research and development.

As an engineering student, you can enter the fields of process engineering, chemical and bioengineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.

In the field of economics, you can choose between purchasing, logistics, finance, controlling, marketing, human resources and communication, among others.

In addition to a minimum duration of 6 weeks and a maximum of 24 months, you will be hired either part-time during your lecture period (min. 7 and max. 20h) or full-time during your semester break. A mixture of full and part time is also possible. Of course, the working student position with us is compensated. However, this varies depending on the duration and degree of employment of the student. Your supervisor will support you not only with advice and support but also with valuable contacts.
