Information about ID cards and authorizations

From May 2021 the booking of an appointment via the portal "timeacle" for services in the receiving offices is obligatory for organizational reasons. The booking of a time slot serves the coordination of the processes.

Lost property can still be handed in at the plant security office at each work gate. The colleagues there record the item in a database and can also see there whether an item you have lost has been handed in. After 5 working days, all items handed in at BASF that are not BASF property will be handed over to the lost and found office in Ludwigshafen:

Due to structural conditions, barrier-free access for obtaining temporary ID cards is only possible at Reception D105 and the North Reception Desk in Building J660 (near Gate 5).

 

Permanent passes can only be obtained at the North Reception Desk in Building J660.

For security reasons, visitors and guests of BASF and local Group companies must be registered prior to their visit. Registration is carried out exclusively by the host, as well as by the dispatchers of the companies under contract.

Until now, a separate tool was used to apply for permanent ID cards for third parties (contractors, etc.) or to record offshore employees. In order to unify all security processes under one roof and thus reduce interfaces, the onboarding of all new colleagues will be mapped via one and the same system in the future.

In order to drive onto the Ludwigshafen site, as well as the Friesenheimer Insel, Kläranlage and Limburgerhof outposts, it is necessary to apply to Site Security for a corresponding permit for access authorization. You can find all the important information here:

Persons with permanent IDs must generally register their materials, tools and equipment required to perform work on behalf of BASF SE. 

This means that company-owned items, that are repeatedly imported and / or exported, must be registered in the system. A requirement is that the user has access to the BASF Self Service Portal. In this portal, the recording of the items takes place exclusively for the permanent ID card holder. You can find all further information here

The security film and the associated security test must be successfully completed before the badge is issued. If the test is not passed, there is no access to the plant premises. You will find all the necessary information on this.
