Exhibition Opening for Hokushu Premium Passive House using BASF’s insulation material, SLENTEX®

Tokyo, Japan – May 15, 2017 – BASF joined Hokushu to celebrate the opening of its Premium Passive House (PPH) exhibition on April 28, 2017, at Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.

The modernly-designed Hokushu PPH is built to achieve a 60% lower energy utilization to have lower facility maintenance cost that will benefit homeowners in an aging society.

One of the technologies used in the zero-energy ready house is BASF’s high-performance insulation material SLENTEX®, a non-combustible and durable performance external wall insulation that provides space-saving potential.

BASF will continue to collaborate with Hokushu on the technological and commercial development of the PPH and further develop high-performance insulation material SLENTEX®.
