Laropal A 81 is BASF’s core grinding resin platform, delivering proven pigment wetting and dispersion performance across a range of solvent‑based coating and ink applications. Its versatile aldehyde resin chemistry serves as the foundation for multiple optimized delivery formats – Laropal 855 S, 860 X, and 863 M – each designed to meet different processing needs, viscosity targets, and workflow preferences while maintaining consistent A 81 performance. Together, the Laropal A 81 family gives formulators flexibility to balance efficiency, rheology, and ease of use without compromising dispersion quality.

To expand the Laropal dispersion platform, Laropal A 101 provides an additional solvent‑based aldehyde grinding resin option for high‑pigment‑content dispersions and coating formulations where low solution viscosity, broad compatibility, and strong coating performance are important.
