Die neue Acetylen-Anlage am Verbundstandort Ludwigshafen kann jährlich 90.000 Tonnen der vielseitigen Chemikalie produzieren. Etwa 20 Betriebe am Standort Ludwigshafen nutzen Acetylen als vielseitig einsetzbaren chemischen Baustein und Ausgangsstoff für viele Produkte des täglichen Lebens. Die Einbindung der Anlage in das Verbundkonzept der BASF bietet die Vorteile einer effizienten Ressourcennutzung, exzellenter Produktionssynergien und kurzer Lieferwege. The new acetylene plant at the Ludwigshafen Verbund site has an annual capacity of 90,000 metric tons. Around 20 plants at the Ludwigshafen site use acetylene as a chemical building block and starting material for manufacturing many everyday products, including pharmaceuticals, plastics, solvents, electronic chemicals and highly elastic textile fibers. The integration of the plant into BASF's Verbund system offers advantages such as efficient use of resources, excellent production synergies and short supply routes.

Together with partners, we are working on the realisation of electrically heated steam cracker furnaces that are powered by electricity from renewable sources. Compared to conventional technologies, a CO2 saving of at least 90 % would be possible.

Auf 24 Hektar entlang der Naundorfer Straße in Schwarzheide ist seit Februar 2022 der erste gemeinsame Solarpark der BASF Schwarzheide GmbH und der envia Mitteldeutsche Energie AG (enviaM) entstanden. Etwa 52.000 Solarmodule werden die Produktionsanlagen der BASF künftig mit klimafreundlichem Strom aus Sonnenenergie versorgen. Die feierliche Inbetriebnahme der Anlage findet am 25. August 2022 statt.

Many thousands of kilometres of cable, numerous transformers: with an annual electricity demand of over 6 terawatt hours at the Ludwigshafen site and increased challenges due to the energy transformation, exciting tasks await our electrical engineers in all aspects of network operation as well as maintenance, modernisation and expansion of our internal power network at voltage levels from 220kV to 6kV.

We are looking for applicants

  • with a degree in engineering specialising in electrical engineering, electrical power supply or a comparable specialisation
  • with a high affinity for electrical engineering topics
  • ideally with experience in planning, development or operation of low, medium or high voltage technology and high current applications
  • with a pronounced ability for teamwork and a desire for networking and exchange
