Who we are
Marc Ehrhardt
As President of the Region North America, Marc Ehrhardt leads the regional platform including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Caribbean and Central America, a role he assumed on May 1, 2023. In this function he further assumes the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Chief Operating Officer (COO) of BASF Corporation.
Prior to his current role, Marc served as President, Global Business Services, BASF SE, in Ludwigshafen, Germany, since the creation of this new Division in September 2019.
Marc joined BASF in 1996 as a specialist in Corporate Audit, after completing his studies in Industrial Engineering and Management in Berlin, Germany. He then held various leadership positions in South America, where he oversaw controlling, finance and administration activities in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.
In 2004 Marc was named Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing Insecticides, BASF Corporation, located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Five years later he became Senior Vice President, Business Management, BASF Plant Science, Limburgerhof, Germany and Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
In 2014, Marc took over the position of Senior Vice President for the Mobile Emissions Catalysts business unit, BASF Corporation, in Iselin, New Jersey.
He returned to Ludwigshafen in 2015 to take over the position of President, Finance, BASF SE.
Marc was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, in 1968. He is married and has two children.
