We work globally in interdisciplinary teams. Our knowledge and competence centers consist of three central research platforms. Together with the development units of our corporate divisions, BASF New Business and BASF Venture Capital they form the core of our worldwide knowledge network. Across the world more than 10,600 employees work in different fields of expertise in around 70 sites in our research and development units. Intensive cooperations and partnerships with more than 600 excellent universities, research institutes and companies provide new impetus to our research.

You are a generalist or specialist in an area whose knowledge and experience is tailored to the special needs of the chemical industry.
You think and plan in advance, accept responsibility and demonstrate endurance in order to achieve results and exceed expectations. You have excellent communication skills in Chinese and English and you can also work well independently.
You will have the chance to discuss your next career steps regularly with your supervisor.
Many continuing education and training measures such as seminars or "on-the-job" training will support you in your plans and you will further consolidate your competencies through special programs and continuing education measures. These also include the close exchanges within the ‘Specialist Communities’ inside and outside of BASF.
During your internship you will be working on a specific research project such as:
- Synthesis and development of new substances for crop protection, polymers, performance products or catalysts.
- Development of new processes for the manufacture of base chemicals, intermediates, plastics or active substances.
- Biocatalysis and biotechnological research for the manufacture of fine chemicals and plant science research
- Research and development in agronomy.
- Use and development of new analytical methods in analytics and polymer physics.
