Personnel Changes at BASF

The Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE has decided on the following personnel change:

Matthias Dohrn (48) will assume responsibility for the Global Procurement division, based in Ludwigshafen, Germany, as of January 1, 2023.

BASF’s Supervisory Board confirms Martin Brudermüller as Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors and appoints Dirk Elvermann Chief Financial Officer

The Supervisory Board of BASF SE today extended the appointment of Dr. Martin Brudermüller (61) as BASF’s Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors until the end of the 2024 Annual Shareholders’ Meeting; Brudermüller’s appointment was originally scheduled to end in 2023. Brudermüller has been Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE since 2018 and a Board member since 2006. “I am pleased that Martin Brudermüller will continue to lead the company with prudence and determination in these difficult times,” said Dr. Kurt Bock, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BASF SE.

Das neue Büro- und Konferenzgebäude D 105 befindet sich im Südteil des Verbundstandorts Ludwigshafen. Der Neubau bietet auf sieben Stockwerken Platz für 1.300 Mitarbeiter. Im Gebäude befindet sich ein Konferenzzentrum mit modernster Veranstaltungstechnik. Beim Bau des Konferenzgebäudes kamen eine Vielzahl an innovativen BASF-Materialien zum Einsatz.

BASF to reshape organization

With an organizational realignment, BASF is creating the conditions for greater customer proximity, increased competitiveness and more profitable growth. BASF is streamlining its administration, sharpening the roles of services and regions and simplifying procedures and processes. As a result, the company expects savings of €300 million, as part of the ongoing excellence program, which is anticipated to contribute €2 billion to earnings annually from the end of 2021 onwards.
