UI/UX Designer

As a UI/UX Designer, you will join our innovative Global Digitalization team and play a pivotal role in enhancing our user-centric success. In this role, you will work on a scientific web application, serving over 1,000 external business users and 400 internal users. Utilizing your creative expertise, you will design and refine user interfaces that improve user interaction and satisfaction across this complex platform. We are seeking candidates from Croatia who are open to critical thinking and ideation. This position will report to the Managing Director of Croatia and the Global Leader of Digitalization at Care Chemicals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop user interfaces that ensure optimal usability, aesthetics, and responsiveness across various devices
Apply UX research methodologies to gather insights and data, guiding the design process and enhancing user satisfaction
Establish and promote UX/UI design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure consistency and high-quality design outputs
Communicate design concepts and decisions to diverse audiences, including technical teams, stakeholders, and business partners, using various visualization and presentation tools
Innovate and conceptualize digital enhancements that streamline user interactions and contribute to business growth
Champion the cause of digital transformation by implementing modern design practices and educating the team on the latest trends and tools in UI/UX design

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer cor a similar role with a strong portfolio of design projects
Proficiency in design software such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, or similar tools
Knowledge of wireframing and prototyping, along with a good sense of typography, layout, and color theory
Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles, with an understanding of the importance of mobile-first design
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate design choices clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and collaborate with other designers, developers, and project owners
Proficiency in written and spoken English, capable of crafting clear design communications
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic front-end development which is preferred but not required
