BASF East Africa and Junior Achievement Uganda launch the Innovation challenge for a just transition.

BASF East Africa Ltd together with Junior Achievement Uganda have launched the Young Voices For a Sustainable Future Innovation Challenge for a Just Transition. Learners from secondary schools in Uganda took part in the challenge designed to inspire and nurture entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and work readiness.

The program is aimed at enhancing ideation of innovative solutions for a sustainable future and to develop ideas that will combat the devastating effects of climate change. Students from the participating schools had the opportunity to present their ideas to a panel of judges. Kololo senior School emerged the winners and will get funding to implement their project and an opportunity to be mentored by BASF leadership team. This program is part of BASFs’ sustainability commitment that aims at creating long term positive impact in the society.
