World Envrioment Day 2022

World Environment Day is celebrated annually to create awareness and action for the protection of the environment. In line with this BASF East Africa collaborated with the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) to sponsor this year’s celebration. The 4-day event which took place in Nyeri County was celebrated on a high note with several build up activities which include: Clean up exercises, public lectures on environmental protection and community forums. The event culminated with a tree planting ceremony that BASF employees took part in. The ceremony was spearheaded by officials from the Ministry of Environment in Kenya.
