BASF East Africa Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Onsite ICF

BASF East Africa and Onsite ICF have signed a memorandum of understanding with the intention of working together to provide affordable housing to low-income earners in the lake region of Kenya. Using BASF’s rigid polyurethane foam, Elastorpor®, Onsite ICF will be able to manufacture high quality construction blocks that will be an alternative to the existing traditional options in the construction industry. Our Polyurethane solutions will be on display to the public to see the advantages of using rigid foam in the construction of buildings. Through this partnership, technology will be shared among businesses in Kenya enabling them to construct their own blocks using Elastopor®.

Training and leasing opportunities will be offered by Onsite ICF, giving BASF an opportunity to access the construction market in Kenya.
