German Ambassador's Visit to BASF Djibouti

The German ambassador to Djibouti Dr. Heike Fuller together with the German Trade and Investment representative to Nairobi, Mr. Carsten Ehler visited our office in Djibouti. They were welcomed by the Managing Director BASF Djibouti FTZE, Moussa Mohamed.

BASF Djibouti’s role in supporting the growth of our business in the Horn of Africa and the solution it provides to challenges faced by our customers during importation, was discussed.

Ambassador Fuller expressed her willingness to work with BASF and the relevant authorities in resolving any challenges of transiting goods through the free trade zone. Dr. Fuller and Mr. Ehler acknowledged the existing market potential in East africa and the need to boost German investments in the region.
